Yesterday afternoon,  out on our backroads, we found a vegetable stand with beautiful fresh veggies. Aromatic green onions, chopped swiss chard ready to saute, kohlrabi,  pink radishes and turnips. 

It was pay based on honor system.  My partner listed our bounty on a lined notebook left on the wooden stand and deposited cash in a mailbox attached to the wall.

Last night, we had a vibrant salad of spring colors tossed in an Asian salad dressing I made with sesame oil, ginger, soy sauce and a few spices and salts on hand.
