Peaches and Peace

Almost ripe peaches in our Garden

Today I feel edgy. Watering the garden, I was impatient with the process. I wanted to hurry and get it done even though I had nowhere to go.

I tried different things to slow myself down. I moved the hose this way and that. I changed up my routine. I still feel my nerves on my skin.

Later, we are stopping at a local deli to pick up sandwiches to eat at the park, my partner's idea. Tonight, late before midnight, we are going to a star party, social distancing, to look through telescopes at the night sky.

We are supposed to leave cellphones and flashlights in the car. A docent will meet us at our car and guide us in the dark by starlight.
